2020 New Year – new look!
By Gillian Clark
Happy New Year to all!
End of 2019 news in brief:
- Successful transition of our first clients to ISO 45001
- Very busy period of surveillance / assessment visits with clients – Christmas period was welcome!
- A New Website!
- Celebrated 1 year in our new offices
As you can see we have updated our logo and look. Please let us know what you think.
2020 plans:
- We are in conversation with an IT Consultant who we hope will offer a wider more technical support for our ISO 27001 and Information Security work.
- A new ISO 20252:2019 is a key activity this year with a number of existing clients transitioning and potentially new ones
- We continue with ISO 45001 transitions
- Making some improvements to our tech – making our audits smarter (more iPad audits)
This all seems a little dry so, over the next few updates we are going to bring a more light-hearted approach to our news. We are going to share a bit more about those who work for A2O. To start with here is a low down on the company itself:
- Gillian started as a self-employed Lead Assessor and Quality consultant early in 2003, mainly to work part-time whilst looking after baby Clark (No’ 1)
- Randomly met a quality consultant who referred her to SAMS (Sheenglen Associates) and soon became a partner in the LLP with a number of other consultants
- Worked in A2O’s first offices, i.e. a small box room in the house
- 2005 – consultancy grown considerably, working full time when baby 2 arrives.
- 2009 – Ian joins the business – 2 months later discover baby 3 is on its way!!!!
- 2010 – A2O set up as a limited company, Ian and Gillian as company Directors
- 2010 – Move into offices phase 2, often joined in the office by furry feline members of staff (AKAS Pepsi and Cola
- 2010 – Baby No 3 arrives.
- 2014 – Claire joins as Admin Assistant
- 2015 – Buys SAMS clients & works with existing consultants
- 2015 – 2018 Business grows, several new consultants now working with, some also retiring.
- 2018 – New offices built, commute a little longer (up the garden path rather than just down the stairs)
Thats all for now!
